I was a senior in high school when I first heard the Violent Femmes and I was blown away. My two favorite genres of music, folk and punk, rolled into one.

Now, I understand that most biped music geeks count the self-titled album (with Blister in the Sun and Add it Up) as the band’s greatest album. I will always claim 1984’s Hallowed Ground as their numero uno. Here’s why:
